Typical Steps in the Powder Coating Process

The item is washed to remove excess dirt, oil and grease
2
Chemical stripping removes the existing finish from the item
3
Outgassing and additional cleaning remove impurities that come to surface when the item is heated in the oven

Prepares and profiles the items surface resulting in a better surface for the powder to adhere to
5
Coats the item with Iron Phosphate to provide superior adhesion and corrosion resistance
6
As required to avoid application of coating in areas such as bearing or mating surfaces
7
Your custom colour is applied to the item
8
The powder is now melted to provide a beautiful, smooth and durable finish
